| Abstract | Neste trabalho, o desempenho do modelo / COLA CPTEC foi investigado, enfatizando os sistemas de precipitação observada na América do Sul. Quatro integração de 15 meses foram feitas, usando 27 de dezembro de 28, 29 e 30 de 1994 como condição inicial. Só foram utilizados os últimos 12 meses de cada integração, e um ensamble do modelo climatologia foi gerado. Houve uma boa concordância entre o CPTEC / COLA simulação AGCM e os padrões de precipitação sobre a região da América do Sul. No entanto, a precipitação foi sobrestimada em relação ao Xie et al. (1996) climatologia e da reanálise (NCEP) ao longo do período de 12 meses estudados, principalmente em latitudes tropicais. ABSTRACT: In this work the performance of the CPTEC/COLA model was investigued, emphasizing the precipitation systems observed over South America. Four integration of 15 months were made, using December 27, 28, 29, and 30 of 1994 as initial condition. Only the last 12 months of each integration were used, and a ensamble of the model climatology was generated. There was a good agreement between the CPTEC/COLA AGCM simulation and the precipitation patterns over the South America region. However, the precipitation was overestimated in relation to the Xie et al. (1996) climatology and the reanalysis (NCEP) along the 12 months period studied, principally over tropical latitudes. | |||
